Work Tasks At the Service Center, we provide service and support to students, staff, and the public. In practice, this involves a variety of tasks including information, service, sales, and support. We work through multiple channels: in-person at the desk, by phone, web, and email. A typical day can include everything from producing and issuing a new GU card to a student to answering emails from someone interested in studying at University of Gothenburg. The section also includes the central switchboard that answers and transfers calls to the entire university. Here we also ensure that all individuals are registered with the correct phone number in the directory so that everyone can reach each other. Together we make the everyday experience work for the university's students and employees. You will have your primary placement at either one of our service centers or at the switchboard, but after introduction, you are expected to be able to staff all locations and channels as needed. Qualifications We are looking for someone who has: Education at college or university level or equivalent experience that the employer considers equivalent At least two years of experience working in reception, contact center, information desk, or similar Experience handling cases through text-based customer contact Good knowledge of the Swedish education system and study-related questions Very good ability to express yourself clearly and factually in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing Good administrative competence, primarily IT skills and the ability to obtain information from various systems and websites. At the endoscopy clinic, doctors and nurses work together in teams with surgical and medical focus. We perform a variety of examinations each year such as gastroscopy, colonoscopy, bronchoscopy, ERCP, PEG placements/replacements, and camera examination called enteroscopy.
