Our main mission is to shorten the time to sustainable employment by helping job seekers move closer to work or studies. Culture Media and Maritime is a national operation within the Swedish Public Employment Service that provides support and services to job seekers and employers across the country. Contact is primarily conducted remotely and through physical meetings when needed. For a job seeker to be registered with Culture Media and Maritime, certain criteria must be met within specific occupational areas. As an employment counselor, your role is to support these job seekers; you don't need to have a professional background in culture, media, or maritime yourself. Our Workplace We work together where collaboration and collegial support are central to creating a vibrant atmosphere. The office is located at Solna Strand, and you'll have support from about 18 colleagues with similar assignments. Together we work toward common goals and can always count on each other's support in our daily work. Our leadership approach is results-oriented with a close and coaching style that encourages participation, motivation, and responsibility. Role Description We're looking for employment counselors who want to work with matching, guidance, and support for job seekers across the country. As an employment counselor, you keep the job seeker in focus and provide important support on the path to work or studies. A central part of the role is to match and guide job seekers toward work and education, and to make decisions about interventions. The work requires you to be curious, able to understand various situations, and capable of making complex information simple and understandable. To succeed in this role, we see that you thrive with: - Offering support and effectively solving the tasks you face - Interpreting and applying laws and regulations - Making decisions - Matching and guiding job seekers toward work and studies - Working with job seekers primarily by phone - Working with scheduled assignments - Navigating and working in multiple systems simultaneously - Working toward established goals Your employment will begin with an introduction where you'll be equipped with the necessary skills to handle your upcoming tasks as a civil servant. Basic Requirements for the Position - University/college degree of at least 180 credits (120 credits according to the previous system) Alternatively - Have worked at the Swedish Public Employment Service as an employment counselor And - At least 2 years of work experience, with a total of at least 50% employment over two years combined - Very good knowledge of Swedish, that is, good ability to communicate verbally and in writing, and high reading comprehension Additional Merits for the Position - At least 1 year of experience providing support and service by phone - At least 1 year of experience in public sector operations - At least 1 year of experience with guidance toward work and/or studies The public sector values guide us in our daily work. Start date by agreement. The work location is Solna. We offer favorable vacation agreements, flexible working hours by agreement with your employer (after the introductory period of approximately 9 weeks), wellness activities during work time, and a wellness allowance.
