From our stroke observation unit, our alert team consisting of a nurse, nursing assistant, and physician quickly meets the patient in acute care or directly in radiology. On the ward, we work in teams, including student teams, and our stroke unit has a total of 18 care beds. On our second unit, we evaluate patients with difficult-to-treat epilepsy in preparation for possible surgery as well as severe movement disorders in preparation for pump treatment and surgery.
