About Us The Department of Surgery conducts extensive surgical operations in several specialty areas (divided into pediatric and endocrine surgery, upper abdominal surgery, colorectal surgery, breast and melanoma surgery), urology, vascular, plastic, and oncology. In Karlskrona, we operate two inpatient wards and outpatient clinics across four different locations, including one in Karlshamn. We also provide oncology day care services and will be opening a new endoscopy unit in fall 2026.
