The Swedish Military Intelligence and Security Service (Must) conducts defense intelligence operations and military intelligence and security services in support of Swedish foreign, defense, and security policy, as well as mapping external threats to Sweden. About the Unit Must headquarters supports C Must and coordinates operations so that C Must can effectively exercise its functional and operational responsibility both within the Swedish Armed Forces and in total defense. You will be part of the duty officer function, which is part of the coordination section at Must headquarters. The duty officer function is a Must-wide resource consisting of engaged and competent colleagues with different backgrounds and skills who complement each other. The function is characterized by engaged personnel with a high degree of responsibility and professionalism. The position is open for applications from both military and civilian candidates. Main Duties As an Intelligence and Security Officer at the Must duty officer function, service during regular office hours is part of maintaining Must's basic readiness. Tasks include situation monitoring within the Must duty officer function and, when needed, initiating case handling as well as ensuring that Must leadership is kept updated. The role includes representing Must both internally within the Swedish Armed Forces and externally, and serving as a contact point toward other parts of the Swedish Armed Forces and other authorities regarding intelligence and security service matters. Additional duties include functional development of the duty officer function and responsibility for training personnel to maintain Must's basic readiness. Qualifications Officer's degree (OF/OR), or civilian university/college degree in relevant subject areas, or equivalent experience as deemed by the employer Very good communication skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written Experience in quickly handling emerging matters and coordinating activities Merits Experience of work within, or cooperation with, the Swedish Armed Forces and/or other authorities Experience in intelligence and/or security services Experience from international work or international cooperation Experience in functional development (streamlining work methods and procedures) Personal Qualities We are looking for someone who works in a structured manner and sets high standards for order and organization. At the same time, you have no problem with tempo changes and the ability to take initiative and act despite sometimes incomplete information. You have excellent security awareness and work with high integrity. You are a team player with good ability to cooperate with different personality types and organizational cultures. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability. The qualifications stated above must be verifiable upon request through certificates, references, and work or selection tests.
