About us The Building Permits Unit is part of the Building and Environment Office, which has a total of approximately 40 employees. The unit is responsible for handling building permits and supervision in accordance with the Planning and Building Act (PBL). The types of cases you work with vary based on your specialized knowledge and the needs of the business and can therefore vary among all case types the unit is responsible for. At an early stage, before submitting a building permit application, you are available for advice to the public and business customers and provide good service and professional treatment both in visits, by phone, and in our digital channels.
