Would you like to be part of developing the work at our municipal residential care facility for children and young people? Then you are warmly welcome to apply for this position with us! Who are we? Youth Housing (UBO) is a municipal residential care facility and supported housing for children and young people who, for various reasons, cannot live at home for a period of time. The facility is organized under the social services department and individual and family services. At UBO, nine treatment staff members work alongside a team leader and a director. UBO has seven residential care places and the supported housing currently has five places. Placement duration varies depending on the assignment. The operation has an environmental therapeutic structure and the work is based on a positive view of human nature. What can we offer you? As a treatment staff member at our municipal residential care and supported housing facility, you primarily work with interventions connected to the children and young people placed at the facility. The assignments involve working with psychosocial change processes together with children and young people as well as their networks. In your role as treatment staff, you are part of a team at the facility, but you also collaborate with other services and authorities. You and your colleagues work both individually and together to provide support and treatment interventions with a focus on the young person and their network. We offer you varied and meaningful work at a unit with great commitment. With us, you get stimulation in your work combined with laughter, wonderful meetings, and welcoming colleagues. In your daily work, you receive close support from your experienced colleagues and team leader. Beyond that, we offer, among other things, competence and method development, external supervision, etc. What are we looking for in you? We are looking for someone who is educated as a social worker, social pedagogue, treatment pedagogue, or has other education that the employer deems equivalent. You need to have at least two years of post-secondary education in social work to qualify in the application, and an assessment of personal suitability will also be made. You enjoy working in a team, are positive, and contribute to developmental work at the unit. As a person, you are responsible and have an easy way of communicating, collaborating, and building trust. You have a good ability to adapt to new people and situations and are skilled at organizing and planning to independently drive your work forward. Swedish is the working language and it requires that you speak and write it fluently. We see multilingualism as an asset, and it is meritious if you also speak English, Somali, Arabic, or Kurdish.
