Description The Department of Medical and Translational Biology is seeking a coordinator/superintendent to support and coordinate work before and during a comprehensive relocation and evacuation process for a limited period. The position involves being a central link between affected departments, property owners, the Facilities Services Unit, contracted consultants, external suppliers, and other relevant support functions. This is a role for you if you thrive in a coordinating role where structure, communication, and practical problem-solving are central. You will have the opportunity to contribute to a complex relocation process being carried out in a safe, efficient, and operationally-focused manner. Responsibilities In this role, you are responsible, together with others, for developing and coordinating documentation of the operational functional requirements for evacuation facilities. This includes working with affected departments, the Facilities Services Unit, the property owner's project management, and consultants to contribute to room function programs, for example regarding installations, gases, ventilation, alarms, and other technical requirements related to instruments and equipment. The work also involves planning and coordinating practical issues related to the relocation, such as postal addresses, deliveries, hazardous waste, access permissions, teaching facilities, and any rebooking during the evacuation period. You will maintain an overview of phase scheduling, timelines, financial documentation, and contacts with external suppliers and installers. An important part of the assignment is to track and update equipment lists for the entire operation, including contact persons, location, timing, and practical implementation of relocation for both major and minor equipment. The assignment includes coordinating equipment that needs to be packed, stored, relocated, reinstalled, or calibrated. You are also responsible for contacts with suppliers when equipment cannot or should not be moved by the operation itself, and for communicating to the property owner's relocation organization what the operation and external suppliers respectively are responsible for. The role further involves coordinating technicians, moving assistance, and the operation's own resources, as well as monitoring and communicating timelines for commissioning and calibration in good time. You participate in meetings with consultants, contractors, and the Facilities Services Unit as needed for information and planning of both evacuation and measures in affected facilities. The work also includes coordinating with service center KBC and University Services during the evacuation period, as well as contributing to planning of autoclaving, including the number of programs per day, time requirements, batch coordination, and coordination with other operations. Qualifications We are primarily seeking someone with a university degree in an area that the employer deems relevant. You have excellent ability to plan, structure, and coordinate complex processes with many stakeholders. You should have experience functioning communicatively and be meticulous and solution-oriented, as well as have good ability to create an overview, drive matters forward, and follow up on agreed activities. Further required is experience with facilities coordination, laboratory environments, technical equipment, project management, or similar coordination assignments. Since the work involves many contacts both internally and externally, you need to be able to communicate clearly in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing. Responsibility and Limitations The coordinator/superintendent shall coordinate, follow up, and prepare documentation, but shall not make decisions about other operations' equipment. The position does not include handling personnel matters related to the relocation. More About the Position The employment is a full-time fixed-term position for a maximum of one year with start date as soon as possible by agreement.
