As an intelligence analyst, you will play a crucial role in mapping and analyzing foreign ground forces' technical systems, with a focus on weapons, effects, and protection. The work combines theoretical analyses with practical elements and offers variety in both tasks and work methods. Work is conducted both independently and in project form. About You We are looking for someone with a university or master's degree in engineering with relevant specialization, such as mechanical engineering, engineering physics, vehicle engineering, or similar, or alternatively other education or equivalent competence that FMV deems equivalent. You have solid theoretical knowledge in mechanics and numerical analysis, as well as experience working with finite element models (FEM/FE). You master numerical calculations, material models, and analyses of rapid dynamic processes, and have knowledge of handling computational models, performing pre- and post-analyses, and validating computational results against tests and experiments. You also have a strong ability to summarize and communicate complex models and results clearly, both orally and in writing, in both Swedish and English, as well as a Class B driver's license. It is advantageous if you have experience working with FEM in defense technology, particularly related to weapons and protection systems. Experience with CAD tools, test and experiment activities, and work in military environments is also valuable. We also view positively experience from international collaborations and work in different cultural contexts, preferably with an established contact network.
