The work includes both practical algorithm and system development as well as academic activities and international research. Key Responsibilities • Algorithm development and testing – develop a complete (end-to-end) photorealistic navigation simulation in a PC environment. • Develop and optimize navigation, orbit propagation, triangulation, and attitude determination algorithms. • Perform celestial object position calculations, predictions, and transformations in spacecraft coordinate systems, integrating data for accurate state estimation. • Simulation result execution and verification – perform dual verification using both embedded hardware and PC versions to reduce error risk during mission execution. • Develop embedded system solutions – microcontroller (MCU) algorithms and FPGA-based image processing for object recognition, position determination, and classification. • Ensure algorithm and system verification by comparing PC simulation results with embedded system results, and identify and eliminate errors. • Blueprint creation – develop reusable simulation architecture models that can serve as a foundation for future deep space navigation systems with unconventional propulsion technologies. • Conduct independent scientific research, analyze literature, develop hypotheses, and plan experiments. • Follow RTU doctoral study requirements. • Prepare and publish scientific publications in international (SCOPUS indexed, Q1/Q2) journals, and present research results at conferences. • Communicate project results in professional written English and prepare scientific reports. • Actively participate in RTU's Aeronautics and Space Technology academic group with high-quality research. • Participate in research and development projects, their management, and funding management. • Assist professors or researchers in research, publications, and preparation. • Actively participate in academic, innovation, and community engagement activities, and collaborate in international and interdisciplinary teams. • Regularly follow industry scientific literature and technology development. • Perform other duties related to the position and projects.
