Senior Customs Expert Official Position
(1 vacancy for an indefinite period)
The Customs Administration is responsible for the basic operations and support functions of the State Revenue Service (hereinafter – VID) in implementing customs policy.

If you have:
academic or second-level professional higher education;
the ability to work under high-intensity conditions and find solutions in complex situations;
basic skills in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint;
compliance with the requirements of the State Revenue Service Law Article 6, Part 1 and the State Civil Service Law Article 7;
an impeccable reputation.
If you want to invest your knowledge and skills in interesting and dynamic work and:
conduct customs risk analysis (including for control measure planning), assessment, and determination of measures to prevent or mitigate risks;
conduct remote risk analysis of images scanned with cargo scanners for determining customs physical control measures of cargo and transport vehicles and preventing customs violations;
provide support to customs control points in the security, safety, and other customs risk analysis and assessment process;
cooperate with law enforcement agencies of the Republic of Latvia and foreign customs services in detecting and preventing customs violations;
be ready to work shift work, including 12-hour day and night shifts, as well as on weekends and public holidays according to the work schedule (summed working time).
