Senior Social Secretary for Security Team at Social Services Hisingen
Description Social Services Hisingen is now recruiting a Senior Social Secretary who wants to help establish and lead a new security team for children and youth (0–18 years). The role is particularly suited for you if you have experience and a supervisory background in both child welfare investigations and family treatment. The Security Team will consist of two social secretaries, two family treatment specialists, and one Senior Social Secretary with supervisory responsibility, organized within one of Hisingen's investigation units but working for the entire BoU Authority, Resources and Foster Care. A central part of the assignment is to identify, mobilize, and involve the family and their network to strengthen the child's security and create sustainable solutions in cases where there is high concern about the child's or young person's situation with risk of placement. The goal is to create sustainable solutions for children to remain at home or be reunified with their guardians in a safe manner, while reducing the need for out-of-home placements. The Security Team will also contribute to increasing network placement opportunities in collaboration with the Family Foster Care Unit and jointly developed working methods that enable rapid placements within the child's network. The Security Team's assignment is to work cross-professionally and take collective responsibility for authority functions, risk and safety assessments, treatment interventions, and follow-up of the child's situation, as well as work with methods such as safety planning, network meetings, and intensive treatment work. Safety planning involves the team mobilizing parents and their network to achieve a safety plan that describes who will do what to ensure the child or young person is always safe and secure. Work Tasks Work tasks consist of intensive family work where the team meets families several times per week. This may involve irregular working hours, which the team can largely influence. The work is flexible, complex, and challenging. All team members in the Security Team should eventually have the competence to perform all work tasks and undergo training for a common and uniform approach to risk and safety assessments and safety planning. Training in Signs of Safety and experience in network work are merits for these positions. As Senior Social Secretary for the Security Team, you are responsible for leading and distributing daily work according to applicable legislation, supporting and developing staff members, and driving the establishment and implementation of the new Security Team together with colleagues and the unit manager. The role also involves close collaboration with other units, managers, and senior colleagues, participating in networks and forums within the department and the city. Qualifications The position requires a degree in social work and experience in both authority functions within children and youth services and family treatment. You have good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both spoken and written. You need to have good knowledge of child development, applicable legislation and guidelines in the field, as well as an interest in development and change work. The employer is looking for a person with good leadership skills who is organized, collaboration-oriented, and focused on the best interests of the child. You may need to quickly change perspective and approach, and you must always maintain a solution-oriented mindset. Experience in management, safety planning, training in Signs of Safety, family and network work, knowledge of Treserva, and a Class B driver's license are merits. In summary, this is a combined leadership, specialist, and development role for someone who wants to help shape a new working method focused on child safety, family participation, and the importance of the network for long-term sustainable solutions. Would you like to be part of this team? We warmly welcome your application! Other Information Interviews are expected to take place during weeks 32-34. The recruiting manager is on vacation between weeks 28-31 and will answer any questions before and after that period. For your interview, you need to bring a passport/national ID and possibly proof of residence permit if you have citizenship outside the EU/EES.
