The location is attractive with proximity to both Stockholm and Arlanda. The Municipal Archive is part of the IT and Security Department and belongs to the Municipal Management Office. This is where the central management resources for the municipality's operational areas are located, coordinating and driving overall development and responsible for strategies, guidelines, and tools. The office also has an important mission in implementing the administrative work of the operational areas through its support function. We have a special focus on working closely with the operational areas with advice, support in implementation, and governance around principles. Close collaboration and good dialogue mean that we can together create the best possible results for residents, business owners, and employees in the municipality. The Municipal Archive has three archivists and one archive assistant, as well as an archive manager who also holds the role of municipal archivist. Our mission is to govern, support, and drive the municipality's work with archive and information management and archive organization. In the spring of 2017, Täby Municipality moved to the newly built municipal building, where the Municipal Archive has an archive facility that meets the stated requirements with largely organized and cataloged material. The Municipality Offers Your Tasks Our next challenge is to develop our role as an archive authority in the municipality, and you will be driving the work in designing our supervisory activities, which we do not currently have in place. You will also develop and establish the framework for Täby's archive education work. Your tasks also include establishing governing documents within archive and information management. You make decisions on matters concerning archive and information management in accordance with the Municipal Executive Board's delegation order, and you conduct qualified disposal investigations and prepare disposal decisions. There is an opportunity to contribute to good information management by participating in work on our new e-archive. There we build a functioning administrative organization with good collaboration between the Municipal Archive's e-archive process leader, IT management, and the vendor to refine our work with continuous e-archiving. Your Profile As a person, you are confident in expressing yourself, collaboration-oriented, and flexible, able to take in different perspectives and find common solutions in our many contacts with all operations in the municipality. Since we are to develop new activities at the Municipal Archive, you need to be creative, analytical, and results-oriented so that together we can reach our goals within archive supervision and archive education. You have: · An academic degree with a focus on archival science (60 credits). · Over 5 years of experience working as an archivist in the municipal/regional or state sector or as an archive consultant with clients in the public sector. · Experience with development work and project work within archive and information management. · Documented experience in developing governing documents in the field as well as preservation and disposal investigations. It is a merit if you have: · Experience working with archive supervision · Good IT skills and interest in working with digital preservation and knowledge of e-archiving and digital archive formats. · Experience with project management or supervisory work of others We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
