Do you love food and are you ready for a career where people are at the center? At City Gross, everything we do is about helping and inspiring our customers to live better every day. Our heart beats a little extra for fresh produce, and we believe in people. We believe we become better when we have different backgrounds and experiences. Whether you're showcasing freshly harvested vegetables, cutting the perfect piece of meat, ensuring shelves are always well-stocked, or creating campaigns that meet our customers' needs, everyone here has one reason: to create an amazing customer experience.
About the Position
Position type: Permanent employment at 26 hours per week, probationary period applies.
Start date: September 21, 2026 or by agreement.
Working hours: Early mornings, late evenings, and weekends are a natural part of the work.
We welcome applicants of all ages, but due to the Work Environment Act, you must be at least 18 years old to work in the meat department.
You'll perfect the customer experience
You have the opportunity to make a big impression on our customers' visits, so you have an important role in making the customer experience smooth and pleasant. This could mean a friendly smile, an unexpected question, or a helpful attitude so that the customer finds what they need in the store. You should ensure the customer leaves happy—and preferably with an extra item in their basket and a good feeling!
What will you do?
Each day brings new meetings and challenges, but some of your main tasks are:
Ensure customers leave the store with a smile (and perhaps an extra item or new inspiration).
Work with cutting fresh Swedish meat, cut in-store.
Work with packaging, restocking, and creating a pleasant store environment with order and cleanliness.
Contribute to offering our customers a fresh and welcoming meat and deli department.
Collaborate with colleagues throughout the store—we are a team and help where needed!
Who are you?
You are a natural problem solver who enjoys pace and energy. A friendly greeting and an extra helping hand are a given for you. Do you have a burning passion for really good meat? Great! If you've worked with meat and cutting before—even better!
We believe that you:
Have completed upper secondary education and are fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written. Since our customers speak more than one language, it's fantastic if you do too.
Previous experience or training in fresh produce handling and cutting is an asset.
Love meeting customers and believe that service should be genuine and engaged.
Enjoy doing things together and bring energy and joy.
Are curious, solution-oriented, and see when something needs to be done—you're not afraid to roll up your sleeves to get it done!
What do you get?
Secure terms—We have collective agreements with Handels and Unionen.
Affordable grocery basket—You receive an employee discount on everything from luxurious weekend dinners to quick weekday solutions.
Parental leave with extra security—we offer enhanced parental pay according to collective agreement so you can enjoy your new family member a little extra.
A healthier and more energetic body and mind—We care about your health and offer wellness contributions so you can stay active in the way that suits you best.
Real career opportunities—We have a chance to grow! Many of our store managers started right where you are now.
Does this sound like something for you? Send in your application—we look forward to meeting you!
