We maintain 24-hour readiness at our five fire stations on Blidö, in Norrtälje, Hallstavik, Rimbo, and Älmsta. Our mission to provide fire and rescue services is not only during everyday situations but is also an important part of civil defense. Our preventive mission includes information, advice, and guidance to residents, as well as training of students and staff in the municipality. The Fire and Rescue Service is responsible for fire safety inspections and permits and supervision of handling of flammable and explosive goods.
