We are now seeking a licensed occupational therapist for Älvdalen health center in northern Dalarna - with placement at Älvdalen health center and work also directed toward Särna health center in the same municipality. About Us Occupational therapy is part of primary care and is in an exciting development phase. Our expertise is increasingly in demand and we work broadly within several important areas, such as mental health, pain rehabilitation, activity capacity assessments and memory evaluations. We have close and well-functioning collaboration with physiotherapists, counselors, physicians, rehabilitation coordinator as well as nurses and nursing assistants. Together we create safe, person-centered and accessible care - adapted to the needs of rural areas. Work Tasks As an occupational therapist with us, you work broadly and independently with both individual interventions and team work. Your work areas may include: Hand rehabilitation Memory evaluations and basic dementia assessment Activity capacity assessments for sickness benefit cases Cognitive assessments and treatment Assistive device fitting Patient and family education (for example arthritis school) Group treatment in balance and fall prevention, activity balance (ReDO), time management (Ha Koll) and energy management Telephone advice Work tasks are distributed within the work group, which provides opportunities for specialization within specific areas.
