Our Operations Radiation Therapy in Uppsala is part of the Department of Hematology and Oncology, and we treat patients with cancer. We have moved to new facilities with new equipment consisting of four linear accelerators, a CT scanner, an MRI camera, and an MR-linac, as well as two HDR afterloading units at the brachytherapy unit. Your Assignment Your responsibilities with us will be to assist the regular radiation therapy staff in radiation therapy work and provide high-quality patient care. You will perform standard nursing assistant tasks such as urine testing, bladder scans, and some wound dressing changes. You will also work on other standard nursing assistant tasks in radiation therapy, which may include some administrative duties. Work in brachytherapy may also occur. You should be able to see the bigger picture and think logically. Work with us requires close multidisciplinary collaboration with physicians, specialist nurses, nursing assistants, medical physicists, and engineers. Your Qualifications Requirements: You are a trained nursing assistant with at least two years of professional experience. Ideally, you have a professional credential for nursing assistant from the Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare. Swedish language skills corresponding to at least level C1. You have good collaboration skills and can express yourself well in speech and writing. You should enjoy working in a high-tech environment where you combine technology and patient care. It is meritorious if you have experience in radiation therapy or oncology care. You are attentive to the patient's needs and flexible in your work approach. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability and teamwork skills. It is meritorious if you have worked in the journal system Cosmic and the radiation therapy IT system Mosaiq.
