Student Assistant Adapted School - Mockasinen & Broskolan, Temporary Position

Welcome to us Solbergaskolan is located in northern Älvsjö and is a school with grades F-6 as well as Adapted Primary School programs: Mockasinen and Broskolan, with approximately 35 students studying according to the adapted primary school curriculum, subject areas. We have students with ID - intellectual disability within the autism spectrum (AST) and students with multiple functional variations. Your Role As a student assistant in Adapted Primary School, you will support students in all daily situations (school & leisure time) such as lessons/activities, social learning situations, meals, personal care, and during breaks. You will work in a class team consisting of special educators/class teachers and student assistants/pedagogical staff. The team around the students jointly creates methods and approaches for the students' development and learning. Together with the team, you contribute to planning, implementing, and documenting pedagogical work. The assignment includes using the organization's systematic tools in your daily work with students through close and effective collaboration both within the class team and in work groups and the organization as a whole. Collaboration with guardians and Rehabilitation & Health is essential to create the best conditions for student development. Your Competence and Experience Childcare or children & leisure education is meritorious. Experience from working in Adapted Primary School is a requirement. We place great emphasis on personal suitability and experience with children/youth with ID. We're looking for someone who is independent, stress-resilient, flexible, engaged, and has strong collaboration skills. You need to be able to provide balanced and adapted high output and interaction with vitality, activity, and timing, as the specific circumstances of the student group mean they need this support from staff in all daily situations.
