About the Operation The Infectious Disease Clinic is located in Sundsvall and has regional responsibility for infectious disease care throughout Västernorrland County. Each year, we receive approximately 6,800 patients. We work with person-centered care, which means the patient is in focus and more involved in their treatment. We currently have 14 patient beds divided between two care teams with nurses, nursing assistants, physicians, a dietitian, and an occupational therapist. The ward has only single rooms and isolation rooms with an airlock system. We are now seeking nurses for daytime work with our wonderful team for permanent employment, full-time, with start date by agreement. Duties As a nurse, you will work on our inpatient ward where we investigate and treat infectious diseases such as: pneumonia, endocarditis, meningitis, sepsis, tuberculosis, tropical diseases, hemorrhagic fever, tularemia, hepatitis, HIV, legionella, soft tissue infections, CNS infections, Q fever, shingles, spondylitis, monkeypox, ebola, encephalitis, norovirus, MERS, and more. We offer a wide variety of care, which provides you with interesting and developmental work. The Infectious Disease Clinic is an exciting department that uniquely allows you to become very broad in your competency, as all patient categories (medicine, surgery, orthopedics, and sometimes pediatrics) are treated with us. We have ongoing training in infectious disease care regarding various infectious diseases. Additionally, we have a specialist nurse available most weekdays to support you in daily work. Working hours are scheduled for day/evening shifts, and you will work 2 of 5 weekends with us. There is also an option to work every other weekend. We work with individualized orientation and mentorship, which means the orientation is adapted to you as a person and that after orientation you will be assigned a mentor.
