About the Operation The Infectious Diseases Clinic is located in Sundsvall and has regional responsibility for infectious disease care throughout Västernorrland County. Each year we receive approximately 6,800 patients. We work with person-centered care, which means the patient is in focus and more involved in their treatment. We currently have 12 care beds divided between two care teams with nurses, nursing assistants, physicians, a dietitian, and an occupational therapist. The department has only single rooms and isolation rooms with an airlock system. Currently, we share the department with the pulmonary outpatient clinic during their renovation, hence the double occupancy rooms. We are now seeking nurses for night shifts to join our wonderful team. This position is a permanent appointment, full-time, with start date by agreement. Duties As a nurse, you will work on our inpatient ward where we investigate and treat infectious diseases such as: pneumonia, endocarditis, meningitis, sepsis and TB, tropical diseases, hantavirus, tularemia, hepatitis, HIV, legionella, soft tissue infections, CNS infections, Q fever, shingles, spondylitis, monkeypox, ebola, encephalitis, norovirus, MERS, and more. We offer a wide variety of care, which gives you interesting and developmental work. The Infectious Diseases Clinic is an exciting department that uniquely can give you the opportunity to become very broad in your expertise, as all patient categories (internal medicine, surgery, orthopedics, and sometimes pediatrics) are treated with us. We have ongoing training in infectious disease care regarding various infectious diseases. Additionally, we have a specialist nurse available most weekdays for support in daily work. Work hours are scheduled evening/night, and with us you work 2 out of 5 weekends or every other weekend according to your preference. We work with individualized orientation and mentorship, which means that the orientation is adapted to you as a person and that after orientation you will be assigned a mentor if you wish.
