Through close collaboration with other intensive care units, we also care for patients with conditions such as burns, neurological and thoracic diseases. Your Assignment As a specialist intensive care nurse at CIVA, your main task is to care for our admitted patients with failure of vital functions. You work in a patient-centered manner in a team with nursing assistants, intensive care physicians, and physiotherapists where you provide advanced intensive care based on each patient's needs. In addition, you participate in CIVA's hospital-wide mission. Within Adult Emergency Response, you can have the role of nurse in charge during emergency calls and, together with intensive care physicians, participate in acute interventions throughout the hospital, where quick decisions and good collaboration are crucial. You also participate in the Post-Intensive Care Follow-Up Group (PIG), where we follow up with patients after discharge from the ICU. You plan and coordinate the follow-up together with the care unit and other professionals and contribute to continuity, security, and increased understanding of the intensive care period. This fall, we are launching a pilot with a mobile intensive care group (MIG). Together with intensive care physicians, you work proactively with early interventions for patients who deteriorate on the care unit, with a focus on preventing serious conditions and strengthening patient safety.
