Project Department Our Business Region Uppsala's Property and Service division plays an important role in the region's development. We develop, build, and manage hospitals, health centers, vehicle depots, and other socially critical properties. We are in an expansion phase with projects including a tram depot for Uppsala's new streetcar line, new production kitchens and campus facilities, as well as renovations and expansions for Akademiska Hospital's needs. In our future project portfolio are new health centers, additional vehicle depots, and continued development of Akademiska Hospital. Our primary customers are other departments within Region Uppsala. Your Assignment In this role, you will primarily be responsible for some of Region Uppsala's largest and strategically most important infrastructure projects. The focus is on developing the new tram depot for Uppsala's upcoming streetcar line as well as bus depots and other public transportation-related infrastructure. The projects are characterized by high complexity, many stakeholders, and extensive technical interfaces between facilities, construction, installations, and transportation operations. On behalf of and in cooperation with other departments within Property and Service, and especially with our customers, the project department leads and executes real estate investment projects at all stages. Through a goal- and results-oriented approach, you lead multiple projects from feasibility studies to final inspections. In your projects, you are responsible for ensuring established quality, financial, and time schedules are met. You have experience managing finances against approved budgets and working independently with forecasting and reporting. You participate in preparing matters and developing decision-making documents. You drive your projects independently and collaborate with internal stakeholders, consultants, contractors, and authorities. You contribute to developing calculations and other supporting materials. You plan, monitor, and report. A matter we place great importance on is the work environment in projects. As project manager, you represent the Developer and monitor the work environment from planning to project completion. Within the department, we work together on developing approaches, processes, and procedures in projects, and your input is valuable. Your Qualifications You have higher education or a university degree in a relevant field and many years of experience from construction and real estate operations or infrastructure. We are looking for someone with experience leading large complex projects within public transportation and infrastructure. The role also requires extensive knowledge of building regulations and contract law. Your Competencies Being a project manager means you will have many contacts and collaborations. Therefore, you need to be unpretentious, attentive, and have a strong ability to build good relationships with customers and colleagues, as well as be organized and able to express yourself well in speech and writing. Taking initiative and wanting to achieve results is something you enjoy. We expect you to have strong commitment to the task, a desire to inspire and include everyone in the project teams, and the ability to see the bigger picture.
