The operations are divided between Falun and Säter. In Säter, there is the region's only psychiatric emergency unit as well as Departments 90 and 95. In Falun, there is a dependency center, a general psychiatric inpatient ward, LARO, and ECT operations. Department 90 in Säter serves patients with severe psychiatric conditions and a great need for intensive care and observation, for example in cases of psychosis and manic episodes. Many patients are cared for under the Psychiatric Care Act (LPT). The department has 10 beds and high staffing 24/7.
