Are you an experienced Business Controller who thrives in a business-oriented role where you can combine analysis, operations management, and strategic support? We are now seeking a Senior Business Controller for a consulting assignment where you play a key role in ensuring quality and continuity in financial management during a parental leave period. This is an assignment for someone who can quickly get up to speed on new operations, create value through qualified analyses, and function as a proactive partner to managers and leadership. About the Assignment As Senior Business Controller, you will have broad responsibility for financial management and operations monitoring. You will work closely with the business and contribute with analyses, decision-making materials, and advice that support the organization's business decisions. This is a consulting assignment through Adecco starting 2026-10-12. The assignment is expected to run until 2027-09-15. The assignment is 100% and requires approximately 70% on-site presence. The placement location is at Arlanda. Travel may be part of the role. Your main responsibilities will include: - Responsibility for monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements within your area of responsibility. - Develop, coordinate, and follow up on budgets, forecasts, and business plans. - Analyze financial results and key performance indicators and identify deviations and improvement opportunities. - Serve as qualified financial support to managers and leadership. - Develop and present reports, analyses, and decision-making materials. - Participate in development and improvement initiatives in financial management, reporting, and process development. - Contribute to digitalization, automation, and efficiency improvements of the finance function. We are looking for someone who has: - At least 5-10 years of experience as a Business Controller, Senior Controller, or similar role. - Solid experience with financial statement work, budgeting, forecasting, and financial monitoring. - Strong analytical skills and experience in translating financial information into business recommendations. - Experience working closely with operations and managers in an advisory business partner role. - Very good Excel skills and experience with ERP and BI systems. - Ability to quickly familiarize yourself with new operations, processes, and working methods. - Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written. - Ability to work independently, in a structured manner, and results-oriented. Your Responsibilities You will be part of a team to establish, develop, and conduct supervision according to the Cybersecurity Act – primarily in the medical devices field and also in the pharmaceuticals field. Responding to incoming questions and cooperating with other authorities is also an important part of the work. The Department of Biological Education (IBG) at Uppsala University coordinates and administers all undergraduate education within the biological sector.
