Welcome to apply for a position as a researcher in the speech-language pathology research group at the Department of Public Health and Caring Sciences (IFV), Uppsala University. IFV is part of the Faculty of Medicine and conducts extensive research through our 11 research groups, including in the subject areas of public health science, nursing science, speech-language pathology, and bioethics. The department also conducts education in the medical program, nursing programs, speech-language pathology program, master's program in public health, and through a number of independent courses. We have a total of approximately 370 employees, including our associated researchers and doctoral students. Read more at: https://www.uu.se/institution/folkhalso-och-vardvetenskap The advertised researcher position is located in the speech-language pathology research group at IFV, where several project groups conduct research in various speech-language pathology areas. Many projects are conducted in interdisciplinary collaboration with other researchers at the university and in cooperation with Uppsala Academic Hospital or other actors in health and medical care. Duties The main tasks are analysis and compilation of data collected in projects concerning linguistic functions, communication, and memory functions in people with cochlear implants. Collaboration with other researchers in the research group and participation in research group meetings is expected. Qualification Requirements We are looking for a licensed speech-language pathologist who has completed a doctoral degree. Good knowledge of speech and language assessment of children, adolescents, and adults is required. Clinical experience in the same area is also a requirement. Experience with research and speech-language pathology work in hearing care is meritorious. The applicant must have very good ability to express themselves well in speech and writing in both Swedish and English. Other important personal qualities are good collaboration and communication skills as well as flexibility. Desirable/Meritorious Otherwise Experience working with the statistical tool R is also meritorious. About the Position The employment is time-limited, 12 months. The position is 50%.
