With us, you will experience both difficult challenges and amazing events, in a strong community with colleagues. Welcome to apply! Our Operations Psychiatric Ward 3B provides specialist psychiatric inpatient care for patients with affective disorders such as severe depression, bipolar disorder, personality disorders, and severe anxiety disorders. We are part of the section for affective disorders, which is a specialist psychiatric operation consisting of both inpatient care and several outpatient clinics. This means we value and support the nurse's autonomous professional practice, and nursing care plays a central role in our operations. Enabling recovery and health are important parts of nursing work on a psychiatric ward. A clear focus on person-centered care allows individuals' own stories to shape the care provided. On the ward, we work in two care teams where a nurse, together with two nursing assistants/orderlies, is responsible for half of the ward's patients. As a charge nurse, you lead the daily nursing work. At the end of each shift, we have a reflection session with the work group. We also have a nursing round each week and regular supervision for the nursing team. Together, we establish a care plan with current and planned interventions, which are continuously evaluated. What is important is that you want to learn more about psychiatry, that you are open, curious, and genuinely interested in people. What We Offer We offer a permanent full-time position with start date by agreement. With us, there are great opportunities to influence your schedule as our nurses set their own preferred schedule. Great emphasis is placed on healthy schedules and the opportunity for each nurse to have balance between work and leisure. Our working hours follow current EU directives regarding recovery time between shifts and weekly rest. A salary supplement of 2,000 SEK/month applies for full-time work as an inpatient care allowance. The opportunity to work night shifts is also available if desired. With us, you will experience both challenging trials and fantastic moments, in strong camaraderie with colleagues. Welcome with your application! Our Operations Full-time Ward 4B consists of 14 beds and is directed toward patients with alcohol, drug, and/or medication addiction who require detoxification treatment or withdrawal support. Admissions occur either through the psychiatric emergency care unit or outpatient care, but can also be scheduled from municipal addiction services. All treatment is based on an individual care plan. The ward has doctors, nurses, nursing assistants, a clinical pharmacist, and a case manager. Based on patients' individual needs, we collaborate and consult other psychiatric specialist competencies at Akademiska Hospital to ensure patients receive good care. The operations are part of the Section for Addiction and Neuropsychiatry, a cutting-edge section where research and care development are prioritized. All staff have access to supervision, and we actively work to improve the work environment. After completing the introduction, you will be assigned a mentor during your first year. The mentor is an experienced nurse, and the purpose of mentorship is to make your first year on the ward even more secure. The ward manager and assistant ward manager, who in their base profession are specialist nurses in psychiatry, are very much present and involved in daily operations. If you are an experienced nurse, you will be able to develop your leadership skills with us and take responsibility for developing various areas based on your interests and the department's needs.
