Economics Consultant – Interim, Full-Time, Immediate Start

About the Assignment Our client, a real estate corporation in an acquisition-intensive growth phase, is now seeking a full-time interim consultant for operational support of the finance team. The assignment aims to work through the existing backlog and thereafter maintain the finances on track while the corporation continues to integrate newly acquired companies. About the Business The corporation comprises approximately 80 legal entities – primarily property-owning companies and holding companies – and continues to grow through acquisitions. The finance function consists of a finance manager, senior corporate accountant, and accounting/rent administration specialist. The consultant reports to the finance manager. Responsibilities Ongoing accounting for property-owning and holding companies, with initial priority on catching up on balance sheet and account reconciliations that have fallen behind since year-end. Understanding of input VAT on leasing and standard VAT for real estate is required. VAT reporting may occur but does not constitute full responsibility in the role. Accounts payable – primary responsibility, with particular focus on acquisition-driven volume increases: registration of new suppliers, setup of approval workflows in newly acquired companies, management of address changes and collection matters, and monitoring of invoice flow during acquisition transitions. Full coding already occurs in the incoming invoice register, and setup of templates for recurring invoices is included. Quarterly financial statements – preparations for quarterly closings, with the goal that companies are as close to ready-to-close as possible ahead of year-end closing (year-end closing is not included in the initial period). Not included in the assignment: payroll, accounts receivable, and rent administration. Who We're Looking For We seek a senior consultant with broad operational accounting experience from a multi-entity corporation environment. You thrive in a fast-paced environment with parallel tasks, take ownership immediately, and drive work independently. A humble attitude and pragmatic working style are essential – the environment is fast-moving and not all processes are fully established. We value an approach where opportunities for efficiency improvements and automation are identified and continuously driven in daily work. System Experience Highly meriting: Visma Control Edge and Invoice Manager (IM) Meriting: Autopay and experience setting up AP flows during acquisitions and onboarding of new companies Practical Details Scope: Full-time Start: Immediate Assignment Duration: 4 months initially, with possibility of extension Location: On-site in central Stockholm as the base; hybrid possible once the consultant is established and delivery and responsibility are flowing smoothly Hourly Rate Range: 700–850 kr/hour Application Does this sound interesting? Senior Full Stack Engineer (Consultant)

About the Role We're looking for a senior engineer who can hit the ground running in complex client environments and bring both technical depth and delivery ownership to the table. You'll be embedded with clients across fintech, insurance, SaaS, and enterprise software — leading backend architecture, driving frontend quality, and mentoring the engineers around you. This is a hands-on role. We need someone who writes production code, makes architectural calls, and communicates trade-offs clearly to both engineers and stakeholders. What You'll Do • Design and build scalable, cloud-native applications using TypeScript, Node.js, and React • Architect backend services using NestJS, GraphQL, and microservices patterns on AWS • Lead database design and optimization across PostgreSQL and Redis • Drive CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud deployments • Work across async messaging layers (Kafka, SQS) in distributed system contexts • Build and maintain real-time communication features using WebRTC and peer-to-peer protocols • Consult directly with client engineering leads on architecture and delivery strategy • Collaborate across US and Nordic client teams, navigating time zones, communication styles, and delivery expectations • Mentor mid-level engineers and contribute to technical standards across the team What We're Looking For • 5+ years in full stack development with a polyglot background (TypeScript/JavaScript, C#/.NET, SQL) • Strong command of Node.js backend frameworks, particularly NestJS • React expertise at scale, including performance optimization and component architecture • Solid AWS depth: Lambda, S3, EC2, RDS, SQS, and ideally ECS or EKS • Hands-on experience with WebRTC and real-time communication systems in production • Proven track record working with US-based clients or teams in an embedded or consulting model • Familiarity with Nordic engineering culture and workplace norms — direct communication, flat hierarchies, delivery autonomy • Comfort owning delivery in a consulting or embedded team model — not just executing tickets • Clear written and verbal communication, especially with non-technical stakeholders Nice to Have • Experience building AI-powered features or integrating LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, LangChain/LangGraph) • Familiarity with agentic development workflows or spec-driven delivery approaches • C#/.NET background for legacy system contexts • Prior exposure to regulated industries such as insurance, fintech, or telecom Why This Role You'll work across real product teams, not just maintenance accounts. We run lean embedded teams with clear accountability, and we give experienced engineers room to shape how work gets done — not just what gets built. Our client base spans the US and Nordics, so you'll bring cross-market perspective that most candidates simply don't have.
