The tasks involve picking and retrieving goods according to picking lists and volume requirements, and ensuring that the vehicles are loaded efficiently and correctly. The work is practical and physical, involving repetitive tasks and heavier lifting. You will also handle refrigerated and frozen goods, which means shorter periods in cold and freezing environments. When needed, you will also move and park vehicles and ensure that the vehicles are in good condition for the next working day. As part of the daily work, you will be responsible together with the team for closing the facility in the evening, preparing premises and vehicles, and performing simple inspections of the vehicles. You will become part of a small team of three people where collaboration, responsibility, and a positive attitude are important for smooth operations. The Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute (SMHI) is now recruiting an oceanographer with a biogeochemical focus to our oceanography research unit. About the Position As a researcher, you will develop new knowledge about the coastal zone in the present day and in a changing climate, and contribute to ensuring that water management has annually updated foundation data. This involves qualified analyses and computer simulations using numerical ocean models, as well as participation in further developing the model system through implementation and analysis of biogeochemical processes on shorter and longer timescales. Process and impact studies, as well as analyses of model simulations and observations, are part of daily work, as are model development and creation of driving data. The Swedish Coastal Zone Model, observations, and climate simulations will be used for this work.
