The Defense Medicine Center's staff is growing and we are now seeking a planning officer who will be an important key player in our development About the Unit The staff comprises a broad spectrum of expertise spanning the staff's different departments and areas of responsibility – from operational command, readiness and national deployment activities to infrastructure planning and follow-up, personnel and financial matters. The staff is led by the staff chief. As a planning officer in this position, you will be part of the staff's planning division where you report directly to the planning chief, but you will also support the entire unit. Main Responsibilities Working as a planning officer at FömedC involves leading and conducting planning and matters within your own unit and the rest of the Swedish Armed Forces. You will also participate in planning the unit's needs in the short and long term. Your responsibilities also include providing advisory support to unit leadership on planning matters. Additionally, you are responsible for follow-up, analysis, evaluation and development related to planning, as well as leading project groups. The work involves cooperation with military and civilian actors within and outside the Swedish Armed Forces. The Swedish Armed Forces is growing and the work tasks may develop over time. Qualifications Officer/Specialist Officer. Previous work experience in planning or other equivalent experience that the employer deems equivalent. Good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish and English. B-class driver's license (manual). Merits Education in leadership and planning of military operations. Familiarity with Swedish Armed Forces planning processes. Familiarity with Swedish Armed Forces planning frameworks. Experience leading and driving projects. Experience compiling and documenting, for example reports and development proposals. Experience in staff service. Personal Qualities We are looking for someone who can plan, lead and follow up on activities under varying circumstances. You have the ability to analyze complex issues and see the big picture, and you work methodically to handle tasks of varying nature. You need to have good organizational skills and be thorough. The work requires good cooperation skills, strong social competence, and the ability to build and maintain good relationships.
