About the Position We are now seeking a support pedagogue for our operations. As a support pedagogue, you work with people who need support with their daily living. You work both independently and in close collaboration with colleagues, coordinators, nurses, and the operations manager. You will have some responsibility for the educational work in the operation and work closely with clients in their daily lives. In this role, you work with: Providing individual support, care, and service interventions Reinforcing clarifying pedagogy Planning and implementing activities with clients Carrying out delegated health and care tasks Who Are You? In Skövde municipality, we have several different Daily Activities groups that work both within the organization and in the community. We have approximately 320 participants and around 90 employees. As a Support Pedagogue, you work to ensure that our participants can achieve the highest possible quality of life in their daily lives. Based on individual needs and wishes, you support our participants and work together with the rest of the staff in daily, everyday work with participants in their activities. The role also includes contributing to the unit's development, environmental monitoring and developing improvement areas. You will participate in network meetings with other support pedagogues. At Eskobar, participants need a clear structure and a predictable existence. Participants need communication to take place through various forms of visual support, and we are looking for you who have documented experience of working with AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication). Here we work with low-arousal approaches and clarifying pedagogy. The unit has a high staff density in relation to the number of participants. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who are trained as a Support Pedagogue and have knowledge and experience from the disability field. A requirement is that you have basic computer skills and very good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. We also see that you possess skills in conversation methods and have a salutogenic approach. Previous experience with social documentation is a merit. It is important that you have knowledge of various conversation methods such as social stories or drawing dialogue, as well as experience with clarifying pedagogy, low-arousal approaches and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). We see that you are a person who has a good ability to work independently and drive processes forward. You collaborate well with colleagues in various functions in your vicinity. We are now seeking a Support Pedagogue with overarching responsibility. In this role, you will work administratively, strategically and with targeted pedagogical interventions in groups where needs arise. You will be responsible for study visits, coordinating projects, networks and events, and managing the Daily Activity Program's various working groups. You will be involved in developing the service with a focus on pedagogical methods and ensuring that participant influence and self-determination are at the center. The role includes quality reviewing documentation in the form of social documentation and implementation plans, and mentoring others when needed. As a Support Pedagogue, you contribute to the service with in-depth expertise in the field. You provide support in working with social documentation, communication, and developing and implementing individually tailored pedagogical methods that support the individual's participation and independence.
