About the Workplace Vaggeryd Municipality's home care service operates in Vaggeryd and Skillingaryd and each home care team is based in their respective location. Each home care team is divided into smaller sub-teams, which means closer collaboration with a smaller group of colleagues. This also provides increased continuity for service users who become familiar with the home care staff. Collaboration is an important part of the work, and we support each other both within home care teams and between locations. During 2026, we have a working hours project that means the full-time measure is gradually reduced to 34 hours/week while maintaining full-time salary. Job Duties Your workday starts at the home care office where you pick up your phone and see what your day looks like. You travel to service users either by car, bicycle, or on foot. At the service users' homes, you motivate, help, and support each individual based on their specific needs and wishes. This may include medical interventions, personal care, cleaning, cooking, shopping, and laundry. You document interventions and events in our management system Combine and maintain contact with service users' relatives. The work is often independent, but you have helpful colleagues just a call away. In your role, you also collaborate with home care nursing, benefits administrators, rehabilitation staff, management, and administration. Qualifications We are looking for you who are a trained healthcare assistant, preferably with previous experience working in home care. Since the work requires good communication and documentation, we require that you have good Swedish language skills in both speech and writing. You must have a class B driver's license and be able to cycle. As a person, you are responsible, have good empathetic abilities, and are skilled at creating and maintaining relationships. You are service-oriented, have a positive attitude, and can handle rapid changes in work. During your work shift, you carry a mobile phone as a work tool where you see the interventions you need to perform. We therefore appreciate that you are interested and comfortable with technical solutions, welfare technology, and have computer experience. Of course, you will receive training in these solutions through an introduction tailored to your previous experience. We offer both theoretical and practical introduction that is individually adapted based on your prior experience. Other Information This recruitment process includes interviews and reference checks.
