The unit is led by a unit manager supported by two team leaders and is divided into an Intake Group, Investigation Group, Placement Group, and Foster Care Group. We also have an administrator who is part of the unit and supports the social workers in administrative work. As one of our child secretaries is taking parental leave, we are seeking a new colleague. 1 position(s). WORK TASKS As a child secretary, you are responsible together with your 5 colleagues for placed children and young people, both under the Social Services Act and the Care of Young Persons (Special Provisions) Act. You handle all matters that may arise in the child's life, follow up on interventions, and collaborate with the responsible foster care secretary and/or institutional care facilities. In your daily work, you receive support from team leaders, colleagues, and the unit manager. The work aims to ensure the child's good development and favorable schooling. The work includes regular meetings with children, biological parents, service providers, and partner organizations. The workplace has well-functioning and established routines and structures. The unit continuously carries out development work, including work with the three-part parenthood model, support for biological parents, and the health and education of placed children. We also have joint collaboration with the Education Administration, "SURF", regarding the schooling of placed children. DUTIES As a social worker in our investigation group, you will work together with your 8 colleagues to handle cases according to SoL and LVU regarding children and young people 0-21 years. The tasks include receiving reports of concern, applications, and conducting safety and preliminary assessments. The work involves investigating children's needs according to BBIC, assessing and deciding on interventions, and also following up on approved interventions such as open care. You will have close cooperation with other social workers within the unit as well as with our open care services and external partners. You will be supervised by a team leader and unit manager in your daily work. The workplace has well-functioning and established routines and structures. The unit continuously works to develop its own working methods and approaches used within the framework of the work. All social workers in the group have been trained in the evidence-based risk assessment methods Earl and Savry. The Department of Work and Welfare is in the process of transitioning to the new Social Services Act, and as part of this, a new reception unit will start on January 1, 2027. The current team leader for the investigation unit will begin working in the reception unit, which is why we are now seeking a team leader for the investigation unit. 1 position(s). WORK DUTIES As team leader for the Children and Family investigation unit, you will supervise social secretaries in day-to-day work in accordance with applicable legislation and are responsible for case management and legal security.
