Assistant Store Manager
Want to take the next step in your leadership career and help develop a successful store? We're now looking for an engaged and business-driven assistant store manager for our store in Mora-Noret who is passionate about sales, customer experiences, and leading people toward common goals.
As assistant store manager, you'll be the store manager's closest support and an important part of the store's continued development. You'll contribute to achieving results, developing employees, and ensuring that the store offers an inspiring and attractive experience for our customers every day.
The role, a key person who makes a difference
As assistant store manager, you're the store manager's right hand and part of the store's management. You ensure that sales, customer satisfaction, campaign execution, profitability, and work environment goals are met, and you take responsibility for the store in the manager's absence. You're the coach who supports the team daily, ensures implementation of routines and processes, and contributes to the team delivering both efficient operations and a fantastic customer experience.
The role requires you to be flexible, solution-oriented, and comfortable in an environment where pace can vary – while working goal-focused and data-driven.
Your areas of responsibility
Sales and results: Plan, organize, and prioritize daily work to ensure the store's goals (Sales Build Up), participate in campaigns, and maximize customer value.
Customer experience: Support the store manager in developing personal upselling and help the team create memorable customer experiences.
Implementation: Ensure that central routines, processes, and policies are followed, handle system transactions, and internal communication.
Leadership: Be a role model, coach employees, and create engagement and accountability in the team.
Strategic implementation: Contribute to long-term planning and development of the store's operations and commercial goals.
Sustainability and work environment: Ensure safe operations in the store manager's absence and actively contribute to the store's sustainability efforts.
We're looking for you who
Have documented experience in retail and leadership, with understanding of store operations and work environment
Are analytical and experienced in working with key metrics and improvement work
Have strong ability to coach and motivate employees, and are a clear communicator
Thrive in change, are flexible and solution-oriented
Are responsible, courageous, and confident in operational decisions, such as price adjustments and safety matters
Have an interest in sales, figures, and customer experience
A great bonus is of course if you have an interest in plants and gardening
