Come work with us at Fjätervålen this winter! At our facility, hospitality, solution-focused approaches, and flexibility are at the center of everything we do. We are passionate about skiing and creating the best possible experience for both our guests and our staff. We are a small team of about 35 employees during winter, working closely together across departments with short decision-making processes. Take the opportunity to combine your skiing passion with a fun and educational job with us this winter. Ski School: Alpine/cross-country/snowboard/telemark/park We're looking for someone who is passionate about skiing and teaching both children and adults. As a ski instructor with us, we require that you have completed at least level 2 through SLAO, Friluftsfrämjandet, or equivalent. Our ski school is small, personal, and flexible, offering both group and private lessons, and you'll have significant responsibility. The position can be tailored to your needs, whether hourly or as a combined role with other departments such as the ski shop, activity leader, lift operations, park maintenance, etc. It's a plus if you have additional instructor certifications and can teach multiple disciplines. Park We're also looking for someone who enjoys spending time in the park and maintaining it. This is a combined position with, for example, the lift or ski school, and park duties include participating in park construction with our machine operators, ongoing maintenance, and actively participating in our park evenings with guests. It's also desirable if you can teach basic park lessons. We offer the opportunity to rent staff housing within walking distance of work, as well as access to employee benefits for you and your family. The Facility Today Fjätervålen sits at 1,002 meters above sea level and is a ski resort in northern Dalarna, approximately 20 km northeast of Idre. The privately-owned ski resort has about 35 employees during peak season. The slopes are FIS-classified in both GS and SL for international competitions. There are four lifts, eighteen runs, and a cottage village with 250 cabins. The longest run is 3 km long with a vertical drop of 317 meters. The resort also features 4.8 miles of beautiful cross-country trails, a ski shop/rental/workshop, cottage booking services, a convenience store, parking areas, a ski school, and a restaurant. In summer 2025, we opened cottage booking services, a convenience store, parking areas, and our first cycling and hiking trails. One step closer to becoming a year-round destination. Looking Ahead Do you want to be part of our exciting development journey over the coming years? Our ambition is to become a climate-smart mountain destination offering genuine mountain experiences year-round with sustainability in focus. Upcoming plans include a chairlift, hotel operations, cabins, apartments, a summit lodge, mountain biking trails, and more. Construction is planned to begin based on this vision in spring 2026. ___________________________________________________ These positions begin in mid-December and end in early April. The application deadline is September 30. Recruitment is ongoing through interviews on-site or via Teams.
