We are now seeking a substitute childcare worker for our preschool until August 2027. Responsibilities As a childcare worker, you will work together with preschool teachers based on current curriculum guidelines and implement and develop educational activities. You will help plan and carry out activities that promote children's development and learning. You are responsible for providing children with a safe and secure environment at the preschool. Your main tasks will include: Helping children develop their social skills such as cooperation, sharing, and conflict resolution. Participating in documenting children's development and learning by observing and noting children's progress and challenges. Communication with guardians. Assisting with meals, rest time, and hygiene. As a childcare worker, you play an invaluable role in helping and inspiring children in their activities. It is important and varied work where you need to be prepared for no two days being the same. Qualifications We are seeking someone who is trained as a childcare worker through upper secondary or post-secondary education equivalent to at least 1300 credits. To be successful in this role, we see that you take responsibility for your assignment and recognize what needs to be done in the operation. You contribute with ideas, take initiative, and implement them in practice to create good conditions for children's development and learning. You have the ability to independently plan, carry out, and follow up your work while also contributing to the team's shared goals. You feel confident in your professional role and maintain a professional approach even when circumstances change or the pace is high. You see change and development as a natural part of work and are curious about new methods that can help develop the operation. With a positive and solution-focused approach, you contribute to an operation where both children and colleagues can grow and develop. The position will be filled if required decisions are made.
