Your role with us As a facilities custodian, you independently handle daily cleaning, deep cleaning, and special cleaning according to cleaning instructions. You'll work during daytime hours starting at 06:00 and perform varied facilities maintenance in classrooms, hallways, offices, restrooms, gymnasiums, etc. at schools, after-school programs, and preschools. Cleaning in other types of facilities within Kristianstad municipality is also included in certain positions. The work is sometimes physically demanding, and we use cleaning equipment in environments where this is appropriate. You'll use an iPad with the digital management system Clean Pilot to register completed cleaning tasks. As a facilities custodian, you work in a team where you collaborate and meet regularly. You also have close contact with the unit's cleaning coordinator regarding facilities, procurement, etc., and daily contact with customers and staff in the facilities you clean. When needed, work at cleaning locations other than your regular assignment may occur. Who are we looking for? We want you to have a completed high school diploma, and if you also have facilities maintenance training such as SRY, PRYL, or similar, that's a merit. Previous experience working as a facilities custodian is an advantage, as is knowledge of cleaning equipment and cleaning products used in facilities maintenance. Experience working with cleaning machines and/or cleaning robots is also a plus. Since communication is an important part of the work—you'll be in contact with many people throughout your workday—you must be able to express yourself well in Swedish, both spoken and written. We work with the digital management system Clean Pilot, which is used for daily registration of cleaning tasks and our long-term improvement efforts. Therefore, you need basic computer skills to use apps and functions on mobile phones and iPads. As part of our digitalization journey, we also aim to work with more cleaning robots to improve both work environment and quality, so openness and interest in trying new technical tools are desirable. Your qualities are important to us since the work is largely independent, which requires that you take responsibility for the facilities assigned to you and that you can plan and prioritize your tasks. You also need to be flexible since we help each other solve work tasks when needed. We want you to have good orientation skills and be able to read and understand cleaning instructions and floor plans so you can locate and organize work within facilities and between different cleaning locations. Since the work is sometimes physically demanding, it's important that you have good physical fitness and are mobile in your body.
