Construction Engineer BDX Rail
BDX Rail's railway operations are in an expansive phase and we are now looking for people who want to be part of developing and building the infrastructure of the future. We are now seeking construction engineers for BDX Rail at one of our offices in Luleå, Boden, Gällivare or Kiruna, and specifically a construction engineer for our maintenance contract on Norra Malmbanan with placement in Gällivare or Kiruna. About BDX Rail BDX Rail AB is one of northern Sweden's largest railway companies, operating in both operations and maintenance as well as new investment projects. BDX Rail is a subsidiary within the BDX group and conducts maintenance on the railway between Luleå and Riksgränsen, including Haparandabanan. BDX Rail also operates several investment projects such as various railway yard extensions, track replacements, railway yard lighting, and ERTMS projects for the implementation of a new EU common signaling system in Sweden. During 2026, BDX Rail has won several railway projects and many more projects will be carried out in our local area in the coming years, so we need to expand our team! About the Position As a Construction Engineer, you work in a team together with the business manager, project manager, and site manager where you are responsible for profitability, productivity, quality, environment, and safety. The work includes, among other things, bid and production calculations, procurement, scheduling, preparation of documentation, and financial reconciliations. You assist and follow projects from the first planning day until the projects are completed, where you have an important role in developing all or parts of the projects. For BDX, quality, environment, and safety are important areas. As an important tool in daily work, there is the BDX-Q Management System for total quality which includes quality, environment, occupational health, and safety. Your Profile You should have a university or college degree with a technical focus, or alternatively other education combined with experience that we consider equivalent. Important qualities are that you are structured, business-minded, customer and results-oriented, have the ability to see the bigger picture, can work independently, and have very good planning skills. Furthermore, you are good at creating positive relationships with people in your environment. Previous experience as a construction engineer is an asset.
