Job Responsibilities A nurse at a special housing facility is responsible for health and medical care up to nursing level and is responsible for planning and implementing patient care and treatment. Laws, regulations, and policy objectives guide the work. Core responsibilities: - Assess, make decisions, set goals, document in nursing records according to the patient records act, plan, prioritize, perform, delegate, follow up on health and medical care measures, communicate, lead nursing staff, report deviations and participate in investigations of these. - Collaboration in multiprofessional teams, responsibility for medication management and ensuring that physician orders are followed and evaluated, ordering medications, incontinence products, medical supplies, medical-technical products, etc. Interventions can be preventive, curative, symptom-relieving, and rehabilitative. The nurse's responsibilities also include supervising, informing and training other staff and students, introducing new employees, and improving and developing the quality of operations. Your Profile Are you a nurse seeking a secure position in a stable team? Do you long to work daytime Monday through Friday and have a free and varied workday? We are now looking for a nurse who in their daily work can be flexible and work where needed within a planned geographic area. Hudiksvall Municipality works toward sustainable present while following development needs to meet demographic changes with more elderly living at home longer and who may, upon moving to special housing, have increased needs for health and medical care services and nursing. We think differently and explore new ways of working with a focus on good quality, work environment, and economic sustainability. Together with others in the unit, we work together to find sustainable working methods. We are looking for you as a nurse, preferably with further education in "care of the elderly, dementia, or similar." You want to contribute to creating added value in collaboration with the multiprofessional team you will be part of, where other key players are the unit manager, occupational therapist, physiotherapist, nursing staff, and social worker. As a new employee, you will be offered a mentor and an introduction of approximately 3-6 weeks depending on your previous experience. Work as a nurse at a special housing facility is varied, free, and characterized by trust and freedom under responsibility. The job includes independently assessing, planning, performing/delegating, leading, and documenting health and medical care measures. The role includes supervising, informing, and training nursing staff. Of course, the nurse actively participates in the team at the facility/unit where the unit manager, nursing staff, and rehabilitation are naturally included, and where everyone has the patient in focus. You are part of a larger operation. The patient's best interest is always our focus, which means the role requires both internal and external collaboration. In addition to the patients you have nursing responsibility for, you and your colleagues share overall responsibility for other patients. As a nurse at a special housing facility, you work weekdays, daytime Monday through Friday. You would thrive with us if you value both good collaboration with colleagues and nursing staff as well as professional treatment of patients. Since the majority of our patients are elderly and have multiple conditions, you need to feel confident when meeting with this patient group and have the ability to understand their perspective. You are comfortable making independent decisions, making medical assessments, and prioritizing. As we operate in a society moving toward more digital solutions, you also need to have knowledge of handling various data systems. The position requires that you are a licensed nurse; it is preferred if you have further education in the care of the elderly. We place great emphasis on personal suitability and welcome diversity in the team to develop. About the Department We are here for people. We offer various types of support to children, young people, families, and adults who have any need for our services. We provide people with the support they need so they can then move forward on their own to work, studies, or in other ways get help to develop. We care for our elderly when they need support in their daily lives. We are one of few municipalities in Sweden with a combined social services department. This means that regulatory authority as well as treatment and support services exist in the same department. We see this as an enormous strength. We create value for our residents and contribute to a good and dignified life—for everyone, regardless of circumstances. We place great emphasis on early intervention and preventive work, professional and individually adapted support. We are a learning workplace - We make each other better through our quality work with a focus on those we are here to serve. We are the social and care administration—part of Hudiksvall Municipality.
