About Kriminalvården Kriminalvården is growing – we are building new facilities, renovating, and expanding, and we are now seeking additional staff members. Our most important goal is to reduce reoffending – to break the cycle of crime. When we succeed, society becomes safer and more secure for everyone. We are the authority responsible for correctional facilities, probation services, remand prisons, and prisoner transport. Area of Operations Skogome is Sweden's largest correctional facility for men convicted of sexual offenses. In an ongoing renovation and new construction project, Skogome will expand from today's approximately 350 places to a total of approximately 800 client places, which among other things means more staff and larger, modern facilities. The largest occupational group is correctional officers, but the facility also employs healthcare professionals, administrative personnel, educators, production managers, and others.
