We are located in Southern Dalarna, just north of Hedemora, and operate our own independent school. Children and youth live in five beautifully situated houses, near a lovely bathing lake and exciting forests. Description of Job Duties: The foundation of our approach is to create predictability and routines in a structured environment by giving each day, week, and year a clear recurring structure. The work involves primarily treatment and motivational support for the child/youth. Personal care is also part of the regular duties. The goal is to help children and youth achieve an independent life with successful schooling. Treatment work is individualized based on each child's/youth's specific needs and circumstances. Social skills training, anger management, low-arousal approaches, serial conversations, social stories, and visual supports are some of the methods we use. We are looking for someone who is creative, enjoys physical activity, is passionate about working with children and youth with special needs, and is skilled at building trusting and positive relationships. The position requires you to be secure, solution-focused, stress-resilient, and have great patience. Education: A degree in social treatment pedagogy or equivalent qualification is preferred.
