System Administrator, Data Platform

As our IT division at Svenska kraftnät grows, so does the unit's mission, and the Data and Reporting Platform is becoming an increasingly important part of Svenska kraftnät's data initiatives. We are seeking a System Administrator for the Data Platform who wants to be part of Svenska kraftnät's data-driven journey by managing and further developing our data platforms that make a real difference for the entire organization. About the role You will become part of the Data Analysis and Data Platform unit, which is responsible for providing platforms for data storage, analysis, and sharing to enable safe and efficient use of data and information across the entire authority. The unit responds to inquiries and orders for structured data, such as data extracts and published reports. The unit has an engaged team of 20 employees with expertise in data analysis, backend and frontend development, and IT specialists who handle architecture, application operations, and support for our platforms. We work cross-functionally according to agile principles together with operations managers and product owners on both operations and further development. In your role as System Administrator, you will work with operations, maintenance, and further development of our Analytics data platforms. You are responsible for ensuring that the data platform functions optimally and guarantees that important reports and analyses are provided with correct data at the right time. You will also ensure that the Hadoop/Cloudera platform develops to be able to receive even more data, including from new data sources. The role will also include: Work with database management, such as SQL Server Work with connecting new data sources, troubleshooting, updates and upgrades, as well as monitoring and development of data flows Proposing technical solutions and proactively improving the platform Acting as a sounding board for various stakeholders, for example in connection with developing new IT solutions An important part of the role going forward is to work together with the rest of the team to further develop the existing data lake to structure, simplify, and streamline the work of retrieving and using data.
