Sámi Handicraft Instructor and Native Language Teacher

ABOUT THE JOB We are now seeking a Sámi duajjáre/vytnesjæjja/duojár/duodjár to teach within Sámi-integrated handicraft in primary school. The position can be combined with native language instruction. Lycksele is ambitious to be the hub for Västerbotten's inland when it comes to Sámi integration in schools. This includes, among other things, agreements written with the Sámi School Board on Sámi-integrated instruction in primary school. We currently have nine native language teachers in Sámi languages and one duajjáre who also teaches South Sámi as a native language. These form a work team where experience sharing and professional development take place. If your teaching experience is not extensive, you will receive support from experienced colleagues and our lead teacher. Classes are held Tuesday through Thursday and instruction takes place at Finnbackskolan, Norrängsskolan, and Forsdalaskolan. Our ambition to develop Sámi integration is high, and therefore we are looking for you who want to share that ambition with us. As a duajjáre you conduct instruction together with the regular handicraft teacher. This means that the regular handicraft teacher is responsible for grading and planning the instruction. Teaching is directed at students from grades 5 to 9 with varying background knowledge and occurs in full class, smaller groups, and sometimes individually in both hard and soft handicrafts. The position is 50% but can be combined with native language instruction in South or Ume Sámi up to 100%. Native language instruction can be conducted either physically on-site or as distance instruction. This means that instruction 2 days/week can be conducted from a location other than Lycksele. Project Manager, Coordinated Care Reform, Southern Lapland
Region Västerbotten works to ensure that good health and sustainable development strengthen each other. The Coordinated Care Reform aims to improve care and support for people with harmful use or dependency combined with another psychiatric diagnosis. The reform includes clarifying the division of responsibility between healthcare and social services. Regions will be responsible for coordinated care and treatment, while social services will continue to be responsible for daily support, such as housing and employment. Additionally, involuntary care legislation will change. The goal of the reform is to create more coordinated, needs-adapted, and person-centered interventions so that every patient receives the support they need. The first parts of the reform are to be in place in early 2027. We are now seeking a project manager who will be central to implementing the Coordinated Care Reform in Southern Lapland. The role involves coordinating information about necessary changes within the municipality and region, as well as creating collaboration between all stakeholders. You will help map the current situation, develop change objectives, and identify paths forward—with the goal of improving coordination around coordinated care. You will drive and work practically and concretely to ensure that the reform is implemented according to national guidelines and on schedule. The work is performed under the direction of a steering group consisting of representatives from the municipality and region. 1 position(s). RESPONSIBILITIES As a project manager with us, you create conditions for collaboration, new knowledge, and a strong future. You are responsible for coordinating and disseminating information about the reform's requirements and change needs in the area. You will be the link between the municipality, region, and other stakeholders in the work, and you will drive mapping of the current situation in Southern Lapland. You will also provide practical support to operations representatives who need to decide on and implement changes in their organizations. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone with previous experience leading change initiatives and/or project management. You should have higher education or equivalent competence acquired through education and experience that the employer deems relevant for the assignment. It is advantageous if you have knowledge of municipal and regional operations; experience working in psychiatry and/or dependency issues is particularly valuable.
