ABOUT THE JOB We are now seeking two residential support workers for the municipality's group homes within individual and family care services. As a residential support worker, you assist people living in group homes according to LSS regulations. You are offered exciting and developmental work where you can use and develop your skills as a residential support worker. Good treatment, good communication, coordination, documentation, structure, and care are important principles in a residential support worker's daily work. Work is scheduled during days, evenings, and weekends. Within individual and family care services, we work to make full-time employment the norm. We are seeking someone who is educated as a teaching assistant, nursing assistant, childcare provider, or has other education/experience that the employer deems equivalent. Knowledge of disabilities and low-affect interaction is a merit. You should have a confirmatory approach and be able to use alternative communication methods such as visual supports and social stories. You have the ability to adapt to work and prioritize based on current circumstances and see opportunities instead of obstacles.
