Social Secretary, Adult Services Unit - Temporary Position
Description - Would you like to try working with us at the Adult Services Unit, Individual and Family Services in Vänersborg? If so, you now have the opportunity! The unit's primary target group is adults with various forms of substance abuse and addiction, including gambling problems, and we also work with intimate partner violence, other violence/threats, as well as people leaving criminal activities and crime victims. The Adult Services Unit consists of an investigation team and a service delivery team, as well as a unit manager. Daily work in each team is led and distributed by a Senior Social Secretary and two Senior Treatment Secretaries who also are responsible for method supervision. We offer you a position with a well-planned introduction, continuous internal method supervision, and external process supervision. We also offer several benefits as an employee, such as the opportunity for four days of personal leave per year to strengthen reflection and recovery. In addition, we have a flexible working hours agreement. At our unit, we care about maintaining a good, developing, and pleasant work environment where we are proud of the qualified work we carry out to meet our users' needs. This temporary position will initially be placed as a Social Secretary in our investigation team but may be moved to our service delivery team if needed. As an applicant, you therefore need to have an interest in both authority functions and the delivery of support/treatment services. Work Tasks As a Social Secretary in our investigation team, you work in close contact with clients, and it is important that you have a clear user focus and the ability to create good meetings and conversations with our users. You will conduct qualified, methodical, and structured work (authority functions) based on current legislation and regulations. Your work will include assessing and making decisions about services/assistance according to the Social Services Act as well as measures according to the Addiction Care Act. We also have our own intake function, which means you will receive applications, conduct various information conversations, and manage reports and preliminary assessments. The Adult Services Unit's service delivery team is responsible for implementing various forms of qualified open care services directed at adults with substance abuse/addiction, and to some extent services regarding intimate partner violence. The foundation of the work is psychosocial support and pedagogical conversations/methods. Since we in Vänersborg want to have an accessible open care operation and since we know that many of the users we meet need services outside regular office hours, all our Treatment Secretaries work scheduled hours. For us, it is therefore important that you have a genuine commitment to the users we meet and understand the importance of providing conversation support in evenings and on weekends, and that you have the ability to work according to a schedule. Work at the Adult Services Unit is varied, and we expect you to take great responsibility for the organization, implementation, and quality of the work. With us, together with other team members, you will work methodically to make a difference in our users' everyday life and lives. You will be guided by the goals, guidelines, and legislation applicable to the operation and your position. In our organization, we are also very committed to following IFO's and the unit's relationship goals as well as the social services department's employee principles. Qualifications To be eligible for a position at the Adult Services Unit, you need to have a three-year higher education degree as a social worker, social pedagogue, or behavioral scientist, or alternatively other higher education that the employer considers appropriate for the position. If you have experience working with substance abuse and addiction, intimate partner violence, or authority functions, and for example, training in ASI, MI, ÅP, HAP, CRA, or other support/treatment methods, this is meritorious but not required. You need to be able to work in a structured manner, have a genuine commitment to our target groups, and a flexible and solution-focused approach. It is very important that you can express yourself well and with nuance both verbally and in writing, and that you enjoy documenting and understand the importance of documentation. The most important qualities and abilities for this work are responsibility, independence, flexibility, courage, and curiosity, and the position requires that you have a very good ability to independently prioritize. We will place great emphasis on personal suitability. A driver's license is a requirement. If this sounds like a job for you, you are warmly welcome to submit your application! When applying for positions within the Social Services operations, you should be prepared to provide an extract from the criminal record register when the position is filled. Recruitment may begin during the application period, so do not delay submitting your application.
