Help Build the Foundation for a Platform That Changes an Entire Industry

Lead Engineer The loyalty industry has stood still for too long. We're changing that. Member organizations and customer clubs have spent decades trying to create engagement with clumsy tools that don't adapt to individual members. The same offer to everyone. No personality. No memory. Perks is different. We've built a loyalty platform from the ground up. The product is modular, scalable, and white-label—each organization can assemble their own experience from reusable components and make it completely their own. The result is portals that feel personal and relevant to each individual member, not a shelf of generic campaigns. Treats Nordics AB is the company behind Perks. We're a small, experienced team working with a strong focus on AI-assisted development under clear technical guidelines, where the decisions that matter are made by people who know what they're doing. How We Build The usual way to introduce AI into development is to give everyone a tool and hope for the best. We did the opposite. First, we wrote down what applies to us: a technical contract that describes what counts as finished work, which rules are hard, and what should never pass through. Then we made the contract executable. The hard rules are enforced mechanically as code is written, not in a review long afterwards. The effect is that we can let the machine do a large part of the work without quality being just a hope. The repetitive disappears, and what's left are the trade-offs. We work the same way into the product. We have a built-in assistant that works with real tools and real data in the platform, and that part is growing fast. The work involves context architecture, tool design, quality, and cost in production. It's not about model training. At the same time, none of this is finished. No one yet knows what senior engineering work looks like when the machine writes most of the code. There's no course to take and no established practice to copy. We've come further than most, but we're still in the experiment, and some of what we're trying now will prove to be wrong. Working here therefore means not just working close to AI. It means being part of moving the boundary of what AI-assisted development can do. The methods we use a year from now are ones that someone on this team will have figured out, and we hope several of them are yours. We don't think AI makes judgment less important. We think it makes judgment nearly the only thing that's left, and that sets higher demands on those making the decisions. About the Role This is the most senior technical role after the founder. About 60 percent of the time you write code in the product. The rest goes toward setting direction, reviewing others' work, and ensuring that decisions made in an office conversation land correctly in the codebase. You build features across the stack, from database to interface. We don't separate work into frontend and backend. You own the AI-driven parts of the product, and you also own the way of working we described above. The guidelines are not carved in stone. They're code, and we expect you to change them when you see something better. We expect you to try things we haven't tried, and to tell us when something we're doing doesn't hold up. You drive the work together with our team in Sri Lanka. That means you write specifications that someone else can build from without sitting next to you, you review their code, and you set standards that hold even when you're not looking. The time difference is three and a half hours, and much of the communication happens in writing. We Believe You have built and driven products in production for several years, and can do the full journey from data model to interface have built product features on top of language models and know what breaks when they meet real users and real costs have your own view on how AI-assisted work should be organized—ideally one that differs from ours—and want to help shape the way of working rather than just work within it have led or mentored other developers, ideally in another country or time zone can write down a decision so someone else can build the right thing without asking you are comfortable saying no, even to us, and can explain why work smoothly in both Swedish and English What You Get A role where you actually matter. Where your decisions are visible. You get real authority, not a title, and you'll feel the consequences of your decisions within weeks. You avoid technical debt someone else created. You avoid bureaucracy. You work in a modern codebase where AI handles the repetitive and you spend your time on what actually requires judgment. In short: a job that feels meaningful in five years too. Application Send your CV and briefly describe a technical problem you've solved that you're proud of—what was hard about it, and what did you learn. Send it to [email protected]. We read applications continuously and will be in touch when we find the right match. Treats Nordics AB · Stockholm · perks.se

Postdoctoral Researcher in Autonomous Systems

The Swedish Defence University's (FHS) Land Centre at FHS Institute for Warfare is seeking a postdoctoral researcher specializing in unmanned systems (UxS) and manned-unmanned teaming in land warfare. The postdoctoral researcher will contribute to a research project focusing on the growing significance of unmanned vehicles in unit contexts and how these can be integrated into future land warfare units. The project particularly emphasizes the interaction between manned and unmanned platforms ("manned–unmanned teaming") in future maneuver forces. Of particular interest is creating a comprehensive understanding of how unmanned systems interact with manned units, command systems, and other capabilities within an integrated combat system. The project may include Swedish and international case studies, doctrine and tactics analysis, modeling and simulation, games/experiments, or other methods appropriate for addressing research questions. The goal is to produce knowledge that can support the design and development of future Swedish land warfare units, with particular focus on the Swedish Armed Forces' needs. A central theme is the integration of manned combat vehicles, ground-based unmanned systems, and aerial unmanned systems in the land domain, with both lighter and heavier platforms and various weapon systems. The project examines how this mix affects organization, tactics, command, sensors, weapon systems, logistics, and vulnerability. The Swedish Defence University's Land Centre and FHS Institute for Warfare (IFK) primarily conduct research and development for the military defense sector. Our contributions may focus on capability development, competence development, knowledge development, and building systems for military flexibility. In Defence Systems, the premise is that technical and social components cannot be studied in isolation from each other. The focus is on studying the development, procurement, and use of technology and materiel for defense and security. The project is conducted in close collaboration with the Swedish Armed Forces and the Army, and results are expected to contribute directly to their unit and concept development. Duties The primary responsibility is to contribute to the research project through conducting independent research and collaborative research with other project members. The work has a clearly applied focus where you, together with other project members, develop materials, analyses, and recommendations that are directly applicable to the Swedish Armed Forces. Additional responsibilities include lecturing in relevant courses, seminars, and workshops at the Swedish Armed Forces, particularly the Army, participating in reporting seminars with the Swedish Armed Forces, and being prepared to support relevant studies, workshops, and training activities within the Swedish Armed Forces as requested. What We Are Looking For You must have completed a doctoral degree or a foreign degree assessed as equivalent to a Swedish doctorate in a subject relevant to the project. Great emphasis will be placed on the relevance of your degree to the research project. Priority will be given to applicants who completed their doctorate no more than three years before the application deadline. Ability to independently conduct research within the framework of the research project. Strong knowledge within the research area. Knowledge of unmanned systems (UxS) and manned-unmanned teaming in land warfare is a merit. Ability to communicate research results to the Swedish Armed Forces, particularly the Army, in a clear and audience-appropriate manner. Advanced-level English language skills. Knowledge of Swedish is a merit. Interest in, and preferably experience with, conducting practice-oriented research in close collaboration with the Swedish Armed Forces, particularly the Army. We value strong collaborative abilities, high social competence, and comfort working with new people. You are self-driven and take responsibility for your tasks. You are further organized and analytical. Great emphasis will be placed on personal qualities. You thrive in an environment where researchers, officers, and other practitioners work closely together. To thrive with us, you need to be engaged and present, and you want to contribute to the Swedish Defence University's professional development, collegial collaborative culture, and social cohesion. It comes naturally to you to share your knowledge and contribute to creating a rewarding and good work environment.
