Safety Specialist - Construction Work Environment, Electrical and Traffic Safety

As a Safety Specialist in electrical and traffic safety, you will become an important part of creating secure work environments within Västlänken. Work Tasks As a Safety Specialist, you will primarily support projects in matters related to electrical and traffic safety on rail and road, as well as construction work environment. You function as an expert resource to project management - from early planning through implementation and follow-up - with a particular focus on ensuring that work is carried out in accordance with applicable requirements, directives, and best practices. Your work tasks include, among other things: - contribute to the project's risk analysis work, project specifications, and control programs - participate in the preparation of tender documents and procurement of suppliers - review safety plans, work environment plans, and TA-plans - follow up that the project's procedures and guidelines for construction work environment are adhered to - support in reporting and handling of accidents, incidents, and deviations - participate in safety inspections, introduce new employees, and disseminate information about changed requirements and working methods - conduct spot checks to ensure that work preparations exist and are used for hazardous work - support the project manager in work environment coordination, follow-up, and review of safety plans prior to procurement You will become an important part of the safety work and a natural point of contact in the projects for both preventive and follow-up measures related to work environment and safety. You will become part of the Swedish Transport Administration's Large Projects business area, where Västlänken is one of the most complex and societally important infrastructure projects in Western Sweden. The project includes, among other things, the stages Central, Haga, and Korsvägen, where we are building a commuter train tunnel with three underground stations through central Gothenburg. In parallel, work is ongoing to complete the rail facility in the tunnel, new storage tracks, and investigation of future renovations such as Sävenäs marshalling yard. Qualifications Who are you? You have good problem-solving skills that enable you to identify problems and develop solutions from a holistic perspective. You drive your matters independently while also having the ability to collaborate with other specialists and the project organization. As a project manager for road lighting, you will take on a central role in leading and developing maintenance operations for road lighting in the Stockholm area and on Gotland.
