As a substitute teacher, you lead instruction according to the planning provided by the regular teacher. If no plan is provided, you may need to create a simple plan yourself. In after-school programs, you support students during the school day and in after-school activities. You contribute to a safe, stimulating, and developmentally appropriate environment where every child has the opportunity to grow. In preschool, you help create a learning and secure environment where children can discover the world and develop according to their own abilities.
