As a security guard performing surveillance with a dog, you protect property, buildings, and facilities against fire, theft, and damage. The work takes place primarily in industrial facilities, offices, and workshops with surrounding outdoor areas. To report to our customers what has been done during your work, you will use a computerized information system. As a dog handler, you will work in partnership with your patrol dog, using the dog's senses to provide extra personal protection. The personal protection that a patrol dog provides means you directly receive signals about any unexpected persons in your surroundings. A good patrol dog is like an extension of your senses and helps both of you have a greater ability to detect things that might otherwise go unnoticed. You are organized, calm, and solutions-oriented, with the ability to maintain focus even when the pace is high. You collaborate easily, but also take your own initiative when needed. Work as a dog handler is independent and often feels free, but with great responsibility. As a dog handler at Securitas, you will have the opportunity for regular dog training with our dog unit and instructor.
