By combining direct measurements of albumin reabsorption with single-cell transcriptomics, the project seeks to identify molecular programs underlying epithelial dysfunction and to discover targetable pathways relevant to kidney disease. Duties The successful candidate will lead experimental work across multiple PTEC injury models, including toxic, metabolic, inflammatory, and hypoxia–reoxygenation stress. Key tasks include functional uptake assays using fluorescently labelled albumin, cell and tissue imaging, preparation of single-cell RNA sequencing libraries, data generation from primary human PTECs and acute kidney slices, and close collaboration with computational researchers for downstream analysis. Validation of candidate pathways in tissue slices will be an additional component of the work. Eligibility The eligibility criteria for employing teaching staff are set out in Chapter 4 of the Higher Education Ordinance and in the Appointment Procedure for Teaching Posts at the University of Gothenburg. To be eligible for appointment as a postdoctoral researcher, the applicant is required to have a doctoral degree, a doctoral degree in art or a foreign degree that is deemed to be equivalent to a doctoral degree. This eligibility requirement must be met before the employment decision is made. In the first instance, those who have completed their degree no more than three years prior to the end of the application period shall be considered. The Department of Clinical Sciences is one of six departments at Sahlgrenska Academy at University of Gothenburg. The department conducts research and education that focuses on human health and quality of life. We represent 16 different subject areas (divisions) and are organized into four sections. Through enriching collaboration with healthcare and Sahlgrenska University Hospital, we have developed joint projects and meeting places that benefit both care and research. At the Division of Medical Radiation Physics, research is conducted in most branches of medical physics, such as dosimetry, detectors and measurement techniques, radiobiology and radiation protection; as well as applications in radioecology, radiation protection preparedness, nuclear medicine (diagnostics and therapy), X-ray, MRI, and radiation therapy (external and brachytherapy). The researcher will work in a research group focused on dosimetry in radiation therapy. The group has been established in this field for several years and consists mainly of medical physicists but also involves oncologists for more direct clinical questions or assessments. Currently there is one doctoral student in the group. Adjunct Professor Anna Bäck and PhD Fredrik Nordström will be the two people who will work most closely with the newly hired researcher. Duties The work will include simulations of variations that occur during radiation therapy to study the effect of these variations as well as calculations of various types of complexity measures for clinical radiation therapy plans. The work will therefore involve a considerable amount of programming and software development. The work consists mainly of theoretical analyses but certain dosimetric measurements in clinical radiation fields will also be included in the work. Dose planning is also part of the work. Qualifications Eligible for employment is someone who holds a doctoral degree in radiation therapy and has a basic degree in physics. Experience with dose planning for radiation therapy and dosimetric measurements in clinical radiation fields from external radiation therapy equipment as well as strong programming skills are required. Research experience in the field of complexity of radiation therapy plans and dosimetric uncertainties in external radiation therapy is desirable. We are seeking an ambitious applied researcher who wants to work at the forefront of data-driven nutrition and health. About us Fraunhofer-Chalmers Centre (FCC) is a leading research centre in industrial mathematics, modelling, simulation, optimisation, and data analytics. We operate at the interface between academic research and industrial needs, often in interdisciplinary projects where mathematics, data, and domain expertise meet. Together with the nutrition research group led by Professor Rikard Landberg at Chalmers University of Technology, we conduct advanced research in data-driven nutrition, health, and food science. With large-scale diet and health data, omics data, biomarkers, digital food and health services, we establish predictive models for evaluation of the role of diet in health and disease and establish personalized dietary strategies for more effective disease prevention. In many cases, the work involves time series data, dynamic processes and phenomena, where both methods and interpretation must account for temporal dynamics. Data typically comes from intervention studies conducted in Gothenburg and/or from large cohorts and biobanks from international collaborators. Experienced IT Service Manager with focus on printing and telephony The IT unit at University of Gothenburg is responsible for the university's shared IT services and supports operations with secure, efficient, and user-friendly solutions. We are now seeking an experienced IT Service Manager in a fixed-term position who can contribute to the IT unit within two mission-critical service areas: printing and telephony. The role involves broad responsibility for driving development, vendor management, financial monitoring, and administration of printing and telephony services used by large parts of the university. In the near term, we also face major procurements that require relevant recent experience in procurement as well as current expertise in printing and telephony IT services. Work Tasks WHAT YOU WILL DO WITH US As an experienced IT Service Manager, you are responsible for ensuring stable, cost-effective, and user-friendly service delivery within printing and telephony. You work both operationally and strategically, with close contact with vendors, internal support functions, business representatives, and other parts of the IT unit. Your work tasks include, among other things: monitoring vendors, contracts, delivery quality, and invoicing reviewing monthly invoices and ensuring billing occurs according to agreed terms preparing financial summaries, cost estimates, and supporting documentation for internal billing initiate and participate in procurements, contract extensions, and supplementary agreements in collaboration with the procurement unit act as project manager or sub-project manager when implementing new contracts, changes, or technical solutions plan and hold regular alignment meetings with vendors and internal stakeholders coordinate support flows between the Service Desk, local IT support, third-line support from vendors, and other internal service functions cooperate with other academic institutions and external actors regarding work methods, solutions, and development within the field. Within telephony, you are also responsible for subscription management procedures, documentation for internal billing, and ongoing dialogue with vendors, switchboard operators, telephony coordinators, the Service Desk, and other stakeholders. Within printing, you are responsible for producing reports, managing internal billing, maintaining asset registers, managing changes in the printer fleet, setting up payment solutions for different types of printing, handling support requests related to payments, and collaborating with operations technicians, internal service teams, and approximately 150 printer administrators in the organization.
