Job Description As production unit chief, you have overall responsibility for the Senses Center's operations, employees, and finances. You ensure that operations develop and contribute to achieving established goals and strategies. Through efficient use of existing resources and well-founded priorities, you create the best possible benefit for patients. You are part of healthcare's management group, and your direct manager is the healthcare director. About You We are looking for someone with a university degree in healthcare. Solid management experience leading operations through other managers is required, preferably within the public sector. Experience with university healthcare is advantageous. Research is comprehensive at the production unit, so it is highly advantageous if you hold a PhD. The position requires knowledge and skills in strategic leadership at individual, group, and organizational levels. Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written, is expected. The parish's mission is to contribute to a good society and strengthen church traditions with a special focus on baptism and confirmation. The Cathedral Parish consists of nine congregations. We are now seeking a Diaconal Strategist who wants to help drive our diaconal development work forward. About the position The position can be divided into three areas: strategic development work, serving as a support function for the entire parish, and responsibility for migration issues and economic support. As a Diaconal Strategist, you will coordinate the parish's shared diaconal work, with a focus on building stable diaconal competence, establishing external relationships, and working proactively and long-term to continuously develop our diaconia. You will be part of the Diaconia Center, which consists of two staff members, and you will work alongside another Diaconal Strategist who is also the unit manager. The position involves conducting application-inspired basic research on thin film materials where the main goal is to develop new environmentally friendly surface coating processes with maintained layer quality, functionality and reduced energy consumption. The project is carried out in close collaboration with Swedish industry. Publication in scientific journals and presentations at international conferences are also expected from the successful candidate. The project encompasses process development, plasma analysis, and the synthesis and characterization of thin films. It focuses on controlling and understanding the structure and properties of the coatings at the atomic and nanometer scales. Materials science is inherently interdisciplinary, involving close collaboration with theorists and researchers at other universities in Sweden and abroad. Our close cooperation with industry offers an additional opportunity for those who do not wish to remain in academia after completing their doctoral studies. As a PhD student, you devote most of your time to doctoral studies and the research projects of which you are part. Your work may also include teaching or other departmental duties, up to a maximum of 20 per cent of full-time. Your qualifications You have graduated at Master's level in physics, materials chemistry or materials science/engineering or completed courses with a minimum of 240 credits, at least 60 of which must be in advanced courses. Alternatively, you have gained essentially corresponding knowledge in another way. Documented experience from PVD synthesis methods, like magnetron sputtering, plasma analysis, as well as thin film characterization techniques like XRD, SEM, TEM, or XPS is beneficial. Fluent English spoken and written is required.
